It was bit off, swallowed whole, and spit back out and handed to me on a silver platter by one big bad ass snake!! Yes people my first incounter with a viper was not the most pleasant. I was cruising down a long strech of 3 lane highway when out of the blue a black viper slithered its way next to me in a playful mood. So I nodded and he gave me the move. I was in 2nd gear aprox 4800 rpms (meaning instant boost) so I punched it and a moment later I hear the big evil roar of a 10 cylinder beast run right buy me like I was standing still!!! I thought to my self what the hell was that. I thought they ran 12's??? My car feels fine.. He slowed down after he made his point of showing me a clear picture of his taillights by car lengths. I said what the hell we will try it again, this time I was at 5200 rpms.. same outcome! I though it was alittle intresting that when he let off the throttle his car would sound like loud firecrackers and flames would come out his exhaust. Anyhow, I gave him the thumbs up and I went on about my buisness of helping a friend install his motor. Well as fate would have it after about 5 hours of laboring, I cruize back home and low in behold there is a bmw and a new z06 lined up on the very same highway! I spotted the up and coming race and tried to join in but it was too late they had taken off before I was close enough so I played chase. The Z06 barely beat the beamer. Well the beamer sees that I was in a playful mood so he ask, what mph do you want to go from?? I say 40 is fine (my 1st gear is totally useless and so is 2nd if not from a fast roll) so he says okay but he wants the move. I nod.. well we race and I am dead even with this guy at the end of 2nd and beginning of 3rd, but by 3rd's end I am walking away slowly, by 4th I have about 2 cars, by 5th I have about 2 1/2 cars before I chicken out and let off after about 130 mph, where he proceeds to fly by. So now he slows down and says.. let's do it my speed now. 10 mph What??? Okay, but it was obvious I knew I was going to loose. Sure enough I blew away my tires in 1st 2nd and part of 3rd! Oh well, I really need some slicks for the street. The guy in the zo6 was just watching. They tell me to pull over to chat. To my surprise a passenger gets out of the beamer and says.. "I raced you earlier in my viper!" My mouth dropped in awe.. I was not to be left hanging after all! Turns out he had his viper modded with cams, exhaust, roller rockers, ecu, etc.. to make a long story short he says he runs high 10s on motor. What he told me next was what blew my mind.. He also has a 400 shot of nitrous. On the giggle gas he runs 8s (he did not spray on me though). This guy was really a sport he was a really cool guy. He flattered me by asking me to take him for a ride as he had never encountered a turbo'd civic. He was impressed but said it was alittle loud nahhh open down pipe isn't loud! lmao.. I met his friend w/ the zo6 and the driver of the beamer. I really didn't get to find out what kind of beamer it was other than to say it looked like a 7 series. That thing hauled ass though. As for the z06 he had an intake and exhaust. After we went our ways, I finally got to play with the vette. Off the line it was predictable.. I got no traction, but surprising neither did he, he got a little squirly and almost hit me! but he straightned out and I was still struggling for traction. He handed me my ass but not by much. But then we ran from 30 mph, and he edged me in 2nd gear, mid 3rd I was inching away, end of 3rd I was 1/2 car, 4th about car at most, 5th.. I shut it down. Those cars are FAST. We slowed up he gave me the thumbs up and we went our ways. That was the most fun I have had in a very very very long time!!!! I just wish we would of been at the track and I had my slicks on. Loosing traction can be agrivating. Oh and I now need brakes

Sounds like a good time Alex! I work with this old guy (Fred) who has a high 12 second Prowler on the bottle. His Prowler club hangs out with the Viper club sometimes and he has told me about that guy who whooped you. If it's the guy I'm thinking about the whole from clip is carbon fiber and he has copious amounts of cash dumped into it. Can't argue with results I guess.

I will add by saying that it was not a 2 or 3 stage. He said the 2 stage doesn't hit nearly as hard. He told me he was racing a hyabusa recently and totally destroyed his tranny, drive axle, and rear end while on the gas. So I guess that means he burns rubber on it!! He removed the nos and dodge covered it under warranty. The Nos will be back on soon.
